How to Import & Use this LUT
Step 1: Import the LUT
In DaVinci Resolve:
1. Open the Color tab.
2. Go to the LUTs panel (on the left).
3. Right-click → Import LUT → Select your .CUBE file.
4. Drag and drop the LUT onto a new node.
In Premiere Pro:
1. Open the Lumetri Color panel.
2. Go to the Creative tab.
3. Click “Look” → Select Browse → Import your .CUBE file.
4. Adjust intensity if needed.
Step 2: Prepare Your Footage Before Applying a LUT
To get the best results, always shoot in Log for better dynamic range. Before applying the LUT:
• Convert Log footage to Rec. 709 using a Color Space Transform or Rec. 709 LUT.
• Adjust contrast, highlights, shadows, and white balance for a balanced base.
• Fine-tune skin tones and exposure to match the scene.
• Reduce LUT intensity if the look is too strong—sometimes dialing it back gives a more natural result.
Tips for Better Footage
• Shoot in Log: use a flat color Profil and bring it to life in post (Slog 3)
• Proper exposure: Overexpose Footage by +1,3-1.7 Stops
• White balance: Set it manually to avoid color shifts in post.
Note: A well-shot and well-prepared clip will always grade better.
